About Liverpool
Often thought of as just an industrial port city, Liverpool is in fact a cultural standout that goes far beyond the Beatles.
Liverpool is a city and metropolitan borough of Merseyside, England. The city celebrated its 800th anniversary in 2007.
Labelled the World Capital City of Pop by Guinness World Records, The popularity of The Beatles, and other Liverpool originated groups contributes to Liverpool's status as a tourist destination.
Liverpool is home to many buildings regarded as amongst the greatest examples of their respective styles in the world. Several areas of the city centre were granted World Heritage Site status by UNESCO in 2004. Referred to as the Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City, the site comprises six separate locations in the city and includes many of the city's most famous landmarks.

The London Carriage Works has 2 AA Rosettes and serves modern British food. The bar offers bottled beers, cocktails and 200 wines and champagnes. It also serves sandwiches and bar snacks. Guests at Hope Street Hotel can make use of 24-hour room service. Hope Street Hotel's newest restaurant, 1931, serves pizza, pasta and sharing boards from 12 noon until 10pm everyday.
Liverpool Lime Street Rail Station and the city’s shopping, eating and entertainment district is a 15-minute walk away. The Beatles Story, the International Slavery Museum and the Tate Liverpool are just over a mile from the building. Read more...
