Vienna, Austria’s elegant capital, is a cultural heart and an important historic center.

As the country’s cultural hub, Vienna is home to the Burgtheater, the national theatre of Austria, as well as opera houses, concert venues, and renowned palaces. The spectacular Hofburg Palace and gardens was the seat of Austria’s monarchy, the Hapsburgs, and the venue for lavish banquets, as evidenced by the extraordinary display of imperial silver and dining services and the secular and ecclesiastical treasures at the Imperial Treasury. The iconic 18th century Schönbrunn Palace is located just outside Vienna and, in addition to its 1441 rooms, includes 500 acres of parks and formal gardens. If you’re traveling with kids, don’t miss Europe’s oldest zoo, located on the grounds of the palace. The magnificent Belvedere Palace is an important historic site, featuring impressive collections of artwork and architecture. The palace complex itself is a masterpiece, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and fountains.
Vienna's historic city center is a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasting architectural marvels such as St. Stephen's Cathedral. Climb the steps or take an elevator to the top for panoramic views of the city.
