About Grindelwald
Nestled among the beautiful Alps, this quaint little village is a popular destination for hikers and nature-lovers since the 18C.
Grindelwald is home to Jungfraubahn, a mountain railway up the Jungfrau mountain, listed as a Swiss heritage site of national significance. The land around the Kleine Scheidegg is part of the Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites. Grindelwald village is located in the Bernese Alps. Long famed as a winter tourist destination with slopes for beginners, intermediates and the challenges of the Eiger glacier for the experienced, there are activities for the non-skiers, from tobogganing to groomed winter hiking tracks. It is the usual starting point for ascents of the Eiger and the Wetterhorn. Today, Grindelwald is also a popular summer activity resort with many miles of hiking trails across the Alps.

Built in a classic Swiss chalet style, the Aspen Alpine Lifestyle Hotel in Grindelwald is next to the hiking trails and ski slopes of the Kleine Scheidegg/Männlichen Area. It offers a spa area with an outdoor hot tub. All rooms feature views of the Eiger or Wetterhorn Mountains.
The restaurant serves modern Swiss and international cuisine. During summer, halal food is available as well. The restaurant has a terrace overlooking the North Face of the Eiger.
Private parking is available at the Aspen Alpine Lifestyle Hotel, at an extra fee.
