About Mosfellsbaer
As it is situated near amazing untouched nature, Mosfellsbaer is the perfect base for outdoor activities and excursions.
Mosfellsbær is a town in south-west Iceland, situated some 12 kilometres east of Reykjavík. The town provides numerous opportunities for outdoor and leisure activities, close to untouched nature, and the mountainous area around the town is ideal for walks and hikes, skiing and fishing for trout and char in the small lakes.
Mosfellsbær itself has a number of footpaths, as well as designated “information paths”, where signs provide diverse information about the surroundings.
The top of Lágafellsklif provides an excellent view over the surrounding area with landmarks and place names are marked on the viewing diagram.
