About Pomorie
A lovely seaside Bulgarian resort town, Pomorie is known for its salt lakes and spa treatments.
Pomorie is a town and seaside resort in southeastern Bulgaria, located on a narrow rocky peninsula in Burgas Bay on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. It was known by its Greek name of Anchialos until 1934. The ultrasaline lagoon Lake Pomorie, the northernmost of the Burgas Lakes, lies in the immediate proximity. The town is the administrative center of the eponymous Pomorie Municipality.
Pomorie is an ancient city and today an important tourist destination. Besides the great breach, its attractions including a salt museum, the St. George Monastery, and a history museum.
