It is a popular ski resort and boasts several interesting legends about its foundation. The archaeological traces of the inhabitants of Bansko and the Razlog Valley in general date to the early periods of the Roman Empire. Its main sights include a church, a quaint town center, and hiking opportunities in the vicinity.
