About Bad Gleichenberg
Tranquil spa village boasts healing waters, gorgeous Beidermeier-influenced villas, and serene strolls through landscaped gardens.
Bad Gleichenberg has been an official health spa since 1926. However, the healing spring water was already discovered during Roman times. In the Biedermeier era the spa was in full bloom and became a popular travel destination. The park and many buildings are impressive monuments to the prosperity of this period. In 1837 Countess Emma von Wickenburg laid the foundations of the large park, planting exotic trees and bushes. This magnificent parkland with statues, sculptures and fountains of the Biedermeier period is still the heart of the spa. In the recent past Bad Gleichenberg has become a major centre for tourism due to the Tourism Schools and the FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences.

Schlössl Hotel Kindl

Situated between the forest and meadows, the Schlössl Hotel Kindl offers a location next to the Spa Park of the spa town of Bad Gleichenberg. This hotel features a spa area with a heated outdoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, indoor pool, and different saunas.
Further features of the spa area include various steam baths, an infrared cabin, a relaxation area with views of the surroundings, and a nudist sun terrace. Massages and beauty treatments are available on request.
The rooms and suites feature a flat-screen satellite TV, minibar and safe. All rooms have a balcony.
The gourmet restaurant serves many dishes and regional delights. A breakfast buffet with a wine is served every morning, and guests can have a lunch buffet, a 6-course gourmet dinner with a salad buffet in the evenings.
The Mediterranean terrace café serves cakes, and in the evening the New Orleans Cocktail Bar is the place to go for music and great drinks.
Schlössl Hotel Kindl is a starting point for hikes and bicycle tours. Destinations for excursions in the surrounding area include Riegersburg Castle, the Styrian Castle Road, and the Styrassic Park (theme park). Read more...
