About Airlie Beach
Known for its immense artificial lagoon, Airlie Beach also offers great access to the Great Barrier Reef and surrounding nature.
Airlie Beach is a tourist destination, extremely popular with backpackers. Its beach is small and the sea is inhabited by marine stingers, the box jellyfish from November to May. In order to provide somewhere for the visitors tourists to swim, the local council, has built a small – medium-sized swimming lagoon on the foreshore, similar to the lagoon found in Cairns. The Airlie Beach Lagoon is 4,300 m2 and 4.5 million liters of fresh, self chlorinated water.
The Great Barrier Reef is easily accessible from Airlie Beach, with an array of different types of tours available.

The 4-star self-contained apartments offer spacious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom accommodation and include a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. Each air-conditioned apartment has a washing machine, dryer and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Guests enjoy free unlimited WiFi.
The apartments are uphill, recommend catching a taxi up to the apartments.
The tour desk at Whitsunday Reflections can arrange excursions to the Whitsunday Islands, Whitehaven Beach and the Great Barrier Reef. Local activities including fishing, diving and snorkeling, can be organized upon request.
