Dating to the 14C, this city was once the second largest in Finland, and now retains some notable historic landmarks and a great ambiance.
Porvoo is a city situated on the southern coast of Finland and is one of the six medieval towns in Finland.
The town is famed for its "Old Town" a dense medieval street pattern with predominantly wooden houses. The central point of the old town is the medieval, stone and brick Porvoo Cathedral
and red-coloured wooden buildings on the riverside, which the town is known for, are a proposed UNESCO world heritage site.
