About Makarska
Sprawled along the Adriatic coast, this small city features a promenade of shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars overlooking the harbor.
It is a tourist centre, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between the Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The city is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where fashionable cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the pretty harbour where many pleasure craft are moored. Adjacent to the beach are several large capacity hotels as well as a camping ground.
The center of Makarska is an old town with narrow stone-paved streets, a main church square where there is a flower and fruit market, and a Franciscan monastery that houses a sea shell collection featuring a giant clam shell.

Hotel Rosina enjoys a location in western part of Makarska, within walking distance to the beach. It offers free parking, free Wi-Fi and rooms with balconies with sea or mountain views.
If you arrive with your own car there is a free open-air parking lot provided for you as well as an underground garage which can take up to 22 cars. The underground parking lot can also house small sailing boats.
Makarska's centre can be reached within a 20-minute walk on the sea promenade. There are sandy and rocky beaches as well as fitness, spa and wellness centres in the vicinity of Hotel Rosina.
The air-conditioned restaurant serves traditional home-cooked meals as well as international cuisine. The meals are accompanied by a large choice of top-quality wines, aperitifs and beverages. The restaurant's terrace overlooks the neighbouring islands of Brač and Hvar.
The Rosina is a good starting point to go on excursions and boat trips to the islands of Hvar, Brač and Korčula, as well as to Split, Dubrovnik and Međugorje. Trips to peaceful coves are made daily on smaller boats. Read more...
